Fast Rising Artiste Damino Damoche Shot Dead On Campus

Fast rising artiste and student of Lagos State University, Olaniyan Damilola popularly known as Damino Damoche was shot dead today in front of the university's gate by unknown men suspected to be cultists. He was shot twice in the head and hand.
Late Damilola was a final year Banking and Finance student and had just finished writing a test before he met his untimely death. He got popular with his song "Obo to she."

I purposely didnt want to include the disturbing images of him in cold blood.
May his soul rest in peace. Amen

Jennifer Lopez ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Topshop heiress Chloe Green cemented their couple status with a trip to Disney World in California yesterday, just ONE month after splitting from model girlfriend Shannon De Lima.
It's not known when Marc and Chloe began dating, although the unlikely twosome looked more than comfortable together as they treated the singer's children to a fun day out.

Marc, 44, and Chloe, 21, were spied cosying up, as they walked the latin star's five-year-old twins Max and Emme around the theme park.

Taxi Man Dragged Behind South African Police Van Dies In Custody

 

South Africa's police watchdog is investigating the death of a Mozambican taxi driver who was allegedly handcuffed to the back of a police van and dragged through the streets.
Video footage taken by a bystander of the incident has been shown in the country's local media.
A spokesman for the Police Investigative Directorate said he was "shocked" by the footage. 

According to report, police initially assaulted the 27-year-old Mozambican, a taxi driver, accusing him of parking his vehicle incorrectly in Daveyton, east of Johannesburg.
The video shows a large crowd gathering, as uniformed policemen tie him to a van, dragging him as they drive away.
He was later taken into custody, where he died.....

"Is Rare Disease Day" Meet Sarah Larimore, The Girl With Cystinosis, Can't Sweat

 

Sarah Larimore, 7, suffers from a rare genetic metabolic disorder called cystinosis, which prevents her from sweating. She lives in South Carolina, and can't stay in 80-degree weather for longer than 20 minutes, so during the summer she used to stay cooped up inside, her mother, Katie Larimore, told ABCNews.com.
Last summer her family built a swimming pool in their backyard.
"It was her first real, live outside summer," her mother said. "She just stayed in the water for three months."
Sarah is one of at least 25 million Americans who suffer from rare conditions, according to the National Institutes of Health, which recognizes today as Rare Disease Day. The last day of February has been promoted since 2009 by the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) to increase awareness about the common needs of people with illnesses that not many others have.

Tuface's Baba Mama Sunmbo Ajaba & Pastor David Adeoye To Wed May 4th

The wedding between Sunmbo Ajaba, one of Tuface Idibia's baby mamas, and Pastor David Adeoye of Royal Christian Centre, has been scheduled to take place on Saturday May 4th 2013. Their court wedding will hold Thursday May 2nd at the Ikoyi registry. 
Sunmbo is one of the choristers at Pastor David's church and the pair made their relationship formal sometime towards the end of last year.
 Pastor David was once married but lost his wife in 2011.

22-Year-Old Nigerian Apprehended With 1.3kg Drugs

 

A 22-year-old Nigerian, Jude Ejikonye Ilechukwu was recently apprehended by men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLE, with 1.295kg of substance discovered to be methamphetamine.
Mr Ilechukwu who resides in Thailand was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
The drug which was concealed inside his luggage, was detected during the screening of passengers on Ethiopian Airline at the Airport.
The MMIA Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Hamza Umar, said the drug was carefully hidden in the suspects’ luggage.

British Father Seriously Injured After Fire Rips Through His Holiday Home in Spain

According to Europa Press, a British man is critically ill in hospital after a huge fire ripped through his holiday home in Benidorm, Spain.
The unnamed 34-year-old man and his son were lucky to escape with their lives after the blaze caused devastation in their second-floor flat in the popular tourist destination.
He is being treated at Alicante General Hospital for first and second degree burns, while his son suffered minor injuries.
Around 30 people were forced to evacuate the building, located in Calle Armada Espanola, and firefighters took more than an hour to get the flames under control.

An investigation has now been launched into the cause of the blaze.

Katie Price Expecting a Baby with Husband Kieran Hayler

Controversial British glamour model Katie Price has revealed she is pregnant with her fourth child. 
Katie announced she is expecting a baby with new husband Kieran Hayler, who she married on a beach in the Bahamas last month (Jan13).

Confirming the happy news, Price says, "We're all over the moon".

However, the model admits she has some worries about the pregnancy, adding, "It has come as a shock. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous because I have experienced miscarriages in the past. A baby wasn't part of our plans at this stage but anyone who knows me knows I am not one for sticking to rules and plans".

The singer who died on the eve of  Valentine's day (14th February), was laid to rest today Monday February 25th at a private funeral held at Vaults and Gardens cemetery in Ikoyi Lagos Nigeria. In attendance include....husband Mr Andrew Harvey, best friend Denrele Edun, family members, friends and sympathizers. May you continue to rest in peace Goldie. Amen

Lady Gaga Forced To Cancel Tour Dates For Emergency Hip Surgery

 

Lady Gaga has been forced to cancel the remaining dates of her Born This Way Ball tour after it emerged that she needs emergency surgery.
The singer has a tear in her right hip that will require surgery, followed by a recovery period, a statement on her social-networking site, Little Monsters, said yesterday.
'Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady GaGa 'Born This Way Ball' performances have been cancelled,' it read.
'After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady GaGa has a labral tear of the right hip.
'She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.
'Concluding: 'Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.'

Oscar Pistorius 'Breaks Down' as Court Hears Murder Charge

Oscar Pistorius reportedly broke down in tears after being formally charged over the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.  
The South African Olympian and Paraolympian was seen shaking and sobbing after prosecutors said they would pursue a 'premeditated murder' charge over the death of his girlfriend.  
Reeva Steenkamp's body was discovered at Oscar’s home in Silverwoods country estate in his native South Africa in the early hours of Thursday morning. Paramedics were called but Reeva was pronounced dead at the scene after receiving four shots to her head and arm.  

Nigerian Singer & Former BBA Housemate Goldie Harvey Is Dead

Nigerian music artiste and former Big Brother Africa housemate, Oluwabimpe Harvey (aka Goldie) is dead. According to her close pal Denrele Edun, Goldie passed away at Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island Lagos this night, just shortly after returning back from the US. It will be recalled that Goldie attended the just concluded Grammy Awards that took place just four days ago in LA. It's still hard to believe but I think we are constantly reminded of how short this life can be.
The cause of her death is still unknown, but her admin management released a statement via her Facebook page confirming the news.
May her gentle soul rest in peace. Amen. What a great lost, still in shock.......
